Why I started Growtality

I’ve spent 15 years in marketing, more than five of them doing marketing for restaurants. Over that time I sat in a lot of back offices, usually after service, usually with someone who looked like they hadn’t sat down since lunch.

And I kept seeing the same thing.

The bookings lived in one system. The orders came through another. Reviews were somewhere else, and guest details were scattered across all of them, or owned by a marketplace that wasn’t going to share. Restaurants were doing the hard part, cooking great food and looking after people, while someone else held on to the relationship.

My job was to help them grow.

But it’s hard to grow a restaurant when you don’t even know who your regulars are.

So I started building the thing I kept wishing existed: all of a restaurant’s growth tech in one place, built around two things, profitability and retention. Take orders and bookings direct instead of paying a commission on every one, so more of each sale stays with you. Get to know your guests and keep them coming back. No stitching together five tools, and no renting your own customers back from a platform.

That’s Growtality. It’s built by people who’ve spent years on the restaurant side of the table, for anyone who’s ever turned a stranger into a regular.
